United Midwest Savings Bank’s Retail Lending division has a long history in consumer credit and sales financing. Originally, operating as First Mutual Financial, the lending office opened in the Cleveland, Ohio area in 1949. First Mutual became a subsidiary of then Midwest Savings Bank in 1996, and started separate division, Piano Credit Company, to handle the growing piano loan business. In 2011, First Mutual Finance was officially renamed United Midwest Savings Bank (Piano Credit Company continues to operate as a division).
